The Ceremony
The ceremony will be held at St. Timothy Lutheran Church in St. Paul. This is not the church I grew up in, but it is important to me because it was my grandparent's church for decades and is the church my father grew up in. My grandparents are no longer living, but I was very close to them and it will mean a lot to me to be married in their church. Conveniently, the pastor who will be marrying us used to be the pastor here. I also really like the architecture of the ceiling and the stained glass windows.
The Reception
The reception will be held at Kozlak's Royal Oak Restaurant. We're not having a dance so it is important to us to give our guests a really tasty meal. We like Kozlak's because there is no room rental fee (though there is a reasonable food and beverage minimum) and we will have exclusive use of the main dining room, bar, and outside dining patio and garden. We're going to have the cocktail hour outside and then move inside for the plated dinner. I love all the windows looking out to the garden and the open feel to the space.
